Timothy E Zander

Timothy E. Zander - Age 64, was called home to the arms of his loving Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. He was born in Norfolk, Neb., to Oscar and Irma (Zimmerman) Zander on Oct. 1, 1956. He was brought into the family of God through the Word and water of baptism on Oct. 14, 1956, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stanton, Neb. He was confirmed in his faith on May 10, 1970, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoskins, Neb. In 1974 he graduated from Martin Lutheran Academy in New Ulm, Minn. He was the owner of Zander’s Aquatics and Pet Store in Norfolk, Neb. from 1973-1991. Later, he was self-employed and worked for Enercon out of Menominee Falls. Tim enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the Huskers and Yankees and going to the Black Hills. Tim and Nancy Enter were united in Christian marriage on June 13, 1981, and they were blessed with 39 years of married life. Tim leaves the following to hope in the certainty of the resurrection to eternal life and a blessed reunion in Heaven: his wife: Nancy, three children: Angela and Jake Carrel of Kaukauna, Philip and Rachel Zander of Hayden, Idaho, and Robert and Julie Zander of Columbus, Neb.; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Emily, Owen, Alex, Zoey, Huck and Marina, brothers: Mark and Lois, James and Laurie; in-laws: Larry and Dee Enter, Joan Tjernagel, Douglas and Diane Enter, David and Chris Enter, Allen and Joy Enter, Bonnie and Kevin Loersch, Joel and Anika Enter; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws: Lester and Ardella Enter and a brother-in-law: Jim Tjernagel. As certainly as we embrace Christ by faith, just as certainly we may sing this song of triumph as we pass from time into eternity: My course is run, Praise God my course is run. My Jesus welcomes me, Farewell, my friends, my work on earth is done The Heavenly goal I see. Freed from all trouble and repining My course is run, My course is run. (TLH 599:4) In keeping with the current pandemic a private family service was held on Saturday, Jan. 8. The service was livestreamed at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Facebook page.
