Elaine Diedrich

Elaine A. Diedrich - For many years, Elaine got up every morning and read the obituaries making sure she was not one listed there. It is with great sadness that we now find her obituary in the paper today. Elaine passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on March 23, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on Oct. 31, 1939, daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Eiting) Vanden Heuvel. Elaine sold real estate for several years and then became the proud owner of Lamp Shades Plus in Appleton until her retirement. She was an avid card player and loved her trips to the casino. She enjoyed softball, pool and bowling. Elaine loved having a good time and enjoyed a good laugh. She was usually the one telling the jokes. She loved her family dearly and treasured time spent with them. Elaine is survived by her children: Chris (Jack) Frank, Tony (Cindy) Diedrich, Cathy (Ted) Vande Yacht, Tom (Claire) Diedrich, and Tim (Kerry) Diedrich; grandchildren: Amy (Brian) Regal, Bryan (Heidi) Frank, Kevin Frank, Rachel Mueller, Troy (Nicci Smith) Diedrich, Adam (Jamie) Diedrich, Ben (fiancée Alecia Singer) Vande Yacht, Bo (Courtney Gast) Vande Yacht, Jill (Jared) Kaufman, Kayla (Ben) Anderson, Sarah (Lukas) Seefeldt, Scott (Clare) Diedrich, Tyler (fiancée Caitlin Behnke) Diedrich, and Kurt (Abbey) Diedrich; step-granddaughter: Kelsey (Elliott) Larson; 23 great-grandchilden with one more on the way; brother: Quinn (Barb) Vanden Heuvel; sister-in-law: Janice Vanden Heuvel, as well as many nieces and nephews.
