Patricia Van Grinsven

Patricia C. Van Grinsven - “Patsy” - Kaukauna - Age 82, passed away on Thursday March 25, 2021. She was born on Oct. 2, 1938, the daughter of Joseph and Kitsy (Kavanaugh) Gertz. Patsy was a lifelong resident of Kaukauna, who was married to her high school sweetheart, Donald Van Grinsven, for 63 years. She was an avid sports fan, often choosing to watch ESPN while drinking her morning coffee. She shared her love of sports with her children and grandchildren, along with many silly riddles and stories ... and there were many. Patsy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and was known for making everyone feel like they were her “favorite.” Her fun-loving, faith filled spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband: Donald Van Grinsven; five children: Mark (Karie), John (MaryJo), Tom (Jane), Mary (Steve), Jane (Matt); 16 grandchildren: Michael (Jaclyn), Alan, Emily, Nicole, Danielle, Christiana, Jacob, Jeffrey, Patrick, Maggie, Danny, Michael, Matt, Kristin (Ryan), Thomas, and Jack; three great-grandchildren: Mason, Rylan, and Emma and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter: Madeline, and her siblings: Robert (Bobby) and Jeanne. Her funeral service was held March 29 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with Fr. Don Everts officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church per family’s wishes.
