Leonard Doering Sr.

"Lenny"

Leonard Francis Doering Sr. (Lenny) - Age 85, passed away Friday May 21, 2021. Lenny left this earth after suffering many serious medical issues. He was born on Nov. 19, 1935, to Marie and Harold Doering of Kaukauna. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and later in the Army National Guard. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge 126 in Marinette, and a founding member of the Silver Cliff American Legion Post. During his life he enjoyed skydiving, flying planes and helicopters, hunting and rendezvous with friends and family. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 50 years: Sylvia. Lenny leaves behind three children: Thomas (Tom) of Crivitz, Julianna Decina (Julie) of Pembroke, Mass. and Leonard Jr. (the Kid) of Holbrook, Mass., nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind four siblings, Mary Siefelt of Valders, Helen Gloudemans of Green Bay, John Doering of Kaukauna and Joan Nytes of Kaukauna. Lenny also leaves behind his longtime companion: Cassie Meyers and many beloved friends. The family greeted relatives and friends at the St. Mary’s Church in Silver Cliff on May 28 with Father Phillip officiating. Lenny will be laid to rest at Silver Cliff Cemetery.
