James Eichinger

JamesJames F. Eichinger - Age 82, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. James was born Jan. 30, 1939, son of the late Ignatius and Mary (Thurner) Eichinger. James served the Army for three years, stationed most of the time in Korea. After being discharged, he was employed at John Strange Paper Co. as a millwright. He married Joyce Wyngaard on July 7, 1962, and bought a house in Combined Locks. They resided there throughout their years of marriage. There wasn’t anything James couldn’t do. He was an expert tinkerer and a true entrepreneur, owning several businesses. Those businesses included a milk route, Quality Pole Buildings, Quality Pools and Buy George, with one brother or another. He also drove dump truck and school bus in his later years. While retired, he volunteered to drive veterans to medical appointments in Milwaukee. James enjoyed dancing with his wife Joyce in the early days and also enjoyed spending time with family especially at his cottage at Anderson Lake. James is survived by his daughters; Lynn Bailey (Tom Geske), Amy Eichinger, and Jane Pleshek (Joe Diedrich); grandchildren;Jay Landua (Shannon), Jeremy Landua (Melissa), Laura Kiupelis (Karl), William Knutzen and great-grandchildren, Adelyn and Arthur. He is further survived by sisters; Kathleen Fuerst (Edward) Dorothy Mc Cormick (Jim) and Barbara Vanden Broek; in laws, Gerald Wyngaard, Shirley (Dick) Derks, Ken (Sheila) Wyngaard and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Joyce on July 18, 2008, an infant son: Timothy James, son-in law: Tim Pleshek; his mother and father: Ignatius and Mary (Thurner) Eichinger; brothers: John (Mary), Richard, and Henry Eichinger; sister Rosemary (Glenn) Huss; brothers in law: Duane VandenBroek, Marve Wyman, Robert (Rose) Wyngaard, sister-in-law Jean Wyngaard; nieces: Lori McCormick and Michelle (Wyngaard) Hatcher. He is also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-Law: Elsie and Evan Stahlberg.  Funeral services were held June 25 at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, with Deacon Steve Vande Hey officiating.
