Antonius Kantelberg

Antonius M. “Tony” Kantelberg - Kaukauna, age 86, died at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton on Saturday, July 31, 2021. He was born in the Netherlands on Nov. 6, 1934 to the late Hendrikus Franciscus Kantelberg and Maria Elizabeth Prinsen. Tony married Wilma Gofers on Jan. 1,1957. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2021. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became a barber in the Netherlands, and continued on as a barber in the United States after immigrating in 1965. Together, Tony and Wilma owned Tony’s Hair Design in Kaukauna. He loved to play cards (especially Sheephead), golf, and a good cocktail. Friday nights were always spent at Van Abel’s of Hollandtown. Tony is survived by his son, Frank (Chris) Kantelberg, Little Chute; grandchildren: Christopher (Ashley) Kantelberg, Samantha (Kyle) Eiting, Nicholas (Heather) Kantelberg, Ryan (Jessica) Techlin, Tamara (Chris) Mattioli, and Jason (Keri) Techlin; and great-grandchildren: Jack, Will, Cora, Rosalie, Izabelle, Amelia, Pierce, Rysen, Lincoln, Eli, Lilliana, Emmitt, Nathan, and Emilee. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews in the Netherlands. In addition to his parents and wife, Tony was preceded in death by his son, Tony Kantelberg; step mother, Gararda Marie van de Camp; and members of his family and Wilma’s family in the Netherlands. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST.
