Sharon Hoffmann

Sharon J. (Pahl) Hoffmann - Age 84, passed away peacefully Aug. 26, 2022, at the Pines Memory Care Center in Embarrass. Sharon was born June 27, 1938, in Kaukauna to the late Benjamin and Marie (Hurst) Pahl. She often told stories of the fun she had growing up and playing with her siblings and neighbors on “the Marsh.” In 1956, she graduated from Kaukauna High School where she did well academically and excelled in sports. Sharon married Robert J. Hoffmann on Aug. 20, 1930, at Holy Cross Church. They raised four children on their farm on County Road I. Sharon was a hard-working person who had a quick wit and a zest for life. She was a very giving person and delivered meals to the elderly with the Meals on Wheels program. Sports were Sharon’s passion throughout her life. She was a force to be reckoned with at first base in the fast pitch softball leagues. She also enjoyed bowling, volleyball, golfing and curling. Deer hunting with the Koebel gang and grouse (road) hunting at Nookie’s cottage were sports she enjoyed also. She liked watching Brewers, Packers and Badgers on TV. Sharon was an excellent cook. Whether it was Grandma Pahl’s potato dumplings or impromptu “Rhinelander Hash,” everything was delicious. She always made extra so she could share it with anyone who could use it. She hosted many fun parties for family and friends. Sharon and Bob explored many places in the United States and especially enjoyed their travel to the Holy Land. Sharon was a member of St. Rose Catholic Parish where she helped with bingo, ushering and cleaning the rectory. Sharon is survived by her husband: Bob; her children: David (Brenda), Dennis (Denise), Dawn McGlin and Diana (Clint) Koebel Hoffmann; grandchildren: Magen, Haley, Brooklyn, Addison, Dawson, Dayton, Adam and Alex; step-grandchildren: Jason, Alicia and Lenny; step-great-grandaughter: Madyson; sister: Joann Hamilton; brothers: Duane and Bruce Pahl. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Ron Pahl; brother-in-law: Chuck Hamilton and sister-in-law: Joan Pahl. Sharon’s funeral was held Sept. 2, 2022, in Clintonville.
