Barbara Ann Glasheen- Combined Locks- Age 74, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023. She was born on Dec. 24, 1948, to the late Andrew and Elaine (Kampo) Lambie. On Jan. 18, 1969, Barb married Daniel R. Glasheen in Appleton. They were married for 38 years before Dan passed away on Dec. 30, 2006. Barb was a real estate agent for 32 years until she retired in 2013 from Lamers Realty in Kimberly. Prior to becoming a real estate broker, she worked at various companies throughout the Valley. Barb was a very active volunteer at St. Paul Parish, Combined Locks. She was president of the Christian services for almost 10 years, served twice on the parish council, she was a lecturer and communion distributor, chairman of the fall festival for 8+ years and got all of the workers for the annual fish fries. Barb also recruited all the sponsors for the golf outing and helped organize the event for many years. In recent years, she was a driver for the county meals program. Volunteering for church and community was her way of life. Barb’s catholic faith was so very important to her and she felt an obligation to give back to God for all the blessings he bestowed upon her and her family. She was a member of the Kaukauna Community Health Associates (formerly Kaukauna Community Hospital Auxiliary) where she served twice as the president and served on most of the committees. Barb was also Senior Vice President for Post 10544 Combined Locks Ladies Aux (VFW). She was active in the Boy Scouts and worked at bingo at St. Mary in Kaukauna and was a playground supervisor at St. Aloysius. She also served as chairwoman of the equal rights council in the mid 80’s. In 1985, she was the Kaukauna Centennial Chair. Barb was also a member of Paul Care and the grief committee. Barb is survived by her sons: William Glasheen and Ryan Glasheen; grandchildren: Morgan, Aidan, Lila and Seamus Glasheen; step-children: Daniel Glasheen, Christopher (Laura) Glasheen and Holly (Scott) Laird; step-grandchildren: Amy McGlauhin, Shannon Glasheen, Taylor Glasheen and Denim Glasheen; siblings: Robert (Kim) Lambie, David (Rosie) Lambie, Todd (Sherry) Lambie; brother-in-law: Mike Zornow; sister-in-law: Terri Lambie; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved so very much. Barb was preceded in death by her husband: Dan; parents: Andrew and Elaine Lambie; daughter: Erin Glasheen; step-son: Timothy Glasheen; brothers: Thomas (Donna) Lambie and Andrew Lambie Jr.; sister: Debra Zornow; maternal grandparents: Frank and Eva Kampo; paternal grandparents: Thurston “Bud” and Florence Lambie; father and mother-in-law: William and Helen Glasheen. Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
