Beryl Barker - Beryl was called to her heavenly home on March 21, 2023, at the age of 73. She was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Two Rivers, and was baptized on March 5, 1950, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, WELS, Two Rivers. She has been a member at Trinity Lutheran Church, WELS, in Kaukauna from the age of three until the present time. Beryl was confirmed April 12, 1964, at Trinity and, graduated from Trinity Lutheran School in 1964, and Kaukauna High School in 1968. She was married to Montague Reynolds on Feb. 21, 1970. Beryl was employed at AAL (Thrivent) until 1971. When Tim and Tyler were in school at Trinity, she volunteered in the school library and was chairman of the hamburger/hot dog days for many years. She was a stay-at-home mom until 1985 when she went to work for American Greetings, working at various stores in the area for 25 years. She went back to FVTI and received a degree as an accounting assistant and became employed at Emmanuel United Methodist for 15 years as their secretary. On June 25, 1995, she was united in marriage to Donald Barker and they celebrated their 27th anniversary. She loved to travel and had visited all states, except Alaska. Her dream was always to go to Hawaii, and in 2015 Tyler and Angela made her wish come true by getting married on the beach in Honolulu. She traveled first with her parents and sisters; then with Monty and their children. She also traveled to many places with her sons. She was thankful to be asked to go with them and enjoyed those trips immensely. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, crocheting, sewing, and taking care of her grandchildren: Hunter and Starr. They kept her active as she aged and are God's blessings to her. She is survived by her husband: Don Barker; two sons: Timothy and special friend, DuWayne and Tyler (Angela) and their children: Hunter George Reynolds and Starr Irene Reynolds. She is also survived by her two step-sons: Robert (Julie) Barker of Madison and Kirk (Chass) Barker of San Antonio; three step-grandchildren: Tori, Cameron, and Caitlin. Additional survivors include Kay (Ron) Peters and their daughter: Michelle (Gregg) Jahnke; brother-in-law: Roger Holtz and his children: Adam (Kelly) Holtz, and Marie (Ryan) MacPherson; her Godchildren: Michelle Peters (Jahnke) and Adam Holtz who were very special to her. She is also survived by Don's family: James (Janice) Barker, Sandra (Daniel) VanderLinden, Nancy (Dave) O'Dell, Jack Barker (Judy), Patrick Barker (Gina), Stephen Barker (Ann); and the by the father of her children: Montague (Sharon) Reynolds. Her many great-nieces and great-nephews will miss Beryl's kind, loving heart, and her generous nature. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Leila Kromer, sister: Kim L. Holtz; her in-laws: Gerald and Lorraine Barker; and a sister-in-law: Ann Barker. The Christian Funeral Service for Beryl was held March 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, with Rev. Stanley Draper officiating. Beryl will be placed at rest on the Kromer family plot at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Kaukauna. Beryl's wish was that memorials be directed to Trinity Ministry Center, Trinity Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Special thanks to all the nurses and doctors at St. Elizabeth Hospital who attended her during her hospitalization.
