Arthur Henry Van Asten - “Art” - Little Chute - Age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, May 12, 2023. He was born to the late Henry and Catherine (Verhagen) Van Asten on Sept. 28, 1936. Art was employed at Miller Electric for 38 years. He grew up farming and loved being outdoors. This was something he carried with him throughout his entire life, spending many days in nature camping with his family, working on cars as well as his Kubota tractor. Art had a passion for woodworking as well as welding. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan. When he wasn’t working outdoors or cheering on the Bears, Art was busy spoiling his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Art is survived by his children: Richard (Juliana) Van Asten, Cindy (Scot) Jansen, Connie Van Asten, Mark Van Asten, Kris (Dan) Verbeten, Mary (Joe) Dollevoet, Bill (Lori) Van Asten, Dennis Van Asten, Brian Van Asten, and Brad (Jill) Van Asten; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Paul Van Asten and his grandchildren: Joey Dollevoet and Amy Van Asten. Private family services will be held.
