Roseann Geiger

Roseann Geiger - Appleton - Age 95, passed away peacefully at Rennes on June 23, 2023. Roseann was a woman of sincere and deep faith, and is in heaven with God and loved ones. She was born on Aug. 4, 1927, in Kaukauna to the late John and Loraine (Hietpas) Van Grinsven. Her hobbies included bridge, sheepshead, needlework, bingo, golf and bowling. She loved traveling, both in the U.S. and abroad. She was very active in the St. Pius Church parish for many years. Roseann had numerous jobs, but her favorite was a successful sewing and tailoring business. She specialized in bridal parties, church vestments and attire for Baptisms, Confirmations and First Communion services. She took great pride in helping many others find and perfect their sewing and needlework skills. Roseann was an avid Packer fan. Roseann is survived by son: James (Kris) Geiger of Omaha, Neb.; daughter: Diane (Bob) Reider of Appleton and daughter-in-law: Jerilyn Geiger of Augusta. She has 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by siblings: Jean (Bob) Seibers, Irene Krueger, and Don Van Grinsven, all of Kaukauna and brother-in-law: Bill Jirikowic of Lakeland, Colo. Roseann was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald; son: Robert; daughter: Connie; sisters: Joyce Jirikowic, Eva Jansen and Martha Vanden Bosch; brothers-in-law: Wally Krueger, Glen Jansen, Milt Vanden Bosch; and sister-in-law: Pat Van Grinsven. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Rennes and Moments Hospice for their kindness, outstanding care and compassion during Roseann’s stay there. Visitation for Roseann will be held Saturday, July 8, at St. Pius X Catholic Parish 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton, from 10:30 a.m. until the service time at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Holy Angels Catholic Cemetery, Darboy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roseann’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
