Kathleen A. Frank - Age 80, after a long illness passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2023, surrounded by her family who filled her last weeks with laughter and music. Katheen (“Kathy”) is survived by her husband of 57 years: Gerald Frank. The couple married on May 12, 1966; and their three children: Melissa Frank (Steve) Cheng of Los Altos, Calif.; Karen Frank (Hazem) Ben-Gacem of London, United Kingdom; and Chris (Renee) Frank of Kaukauna. Kathy is the much beloved grandmother of seven grandchildren: Claire and Emily Cheng; Omar, Khalil and Ziad Ben-Gacem; and Tyler and Kaitlyn Frank. Kathy was the daughter of Reed and Lillian Mullen of Kaukauna. Kathy is the eldest of six sisters, spanning 20 years including Jeanne (Roger) Mullen Van Der Linden of Kaukauna, Patti Mullen Bangart of Menasha, Mary (Danny) Mullen Lee of Menasha, Susan (Mike) Mullen Schneider of Kaukauna, and Laurie (Curt) Mullen Howerton of Appleton. Kathy has numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Fox Valley. Kathy was a lifetime resident of Kaukauna. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1960, where she was a member of the science, glee, Latin, and broadcaster clubs, among others. In her community, Kathy was a Brownie Scout leader and taught catechism for Holy Cross Church. Prior to retirement, Kathy was employed at the St. Paul Home of Kaukauna for many years, as a bookkeeper, receptionist and nursing aid. Kathy enjoyed crafting, music, reading, mysteries, fishing, games and puzzles, and trying new foods. She was an avid traveler throughout her life, having visited the UK, Europe and North Africa, the Caribbean and throughout the US, including Alaska and Hawaii. Kathy most loved spending time with her family and shared her hobbies and travels across the generations. The family will hold a visitation at Verkuilen – Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home at a future date to be announced. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
