Norman Gene Ott - Age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 7, 2023. He was born on April 23, 1948, son of the late Roger and Amanda (Krueger) Ott. Norman married Judy Van Heuklon on Aug. 3, 1967. Norm loved the outdoors and enjoyed planting and pruning his trees. He kept all of the neighborhood birds well fed. Norm and Judy would take many rides and he would keep an eye on how the crops were growing. They spent a lot of time together traveling and playing cribbage. Only when his honey-do-list got a little long would Norm find a reason to go shopping for a bargain with his coupons. Norm was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Pelican Lake, where he worked, played, and savored life. He helped to prepare many family meals and was a good taste tester. After retiring from the Kimberly Paper Mill, Norm had more time to attend his grandchildren’s activities. He cherished time spent with his family. Norman is survived by his wife of 56 years: Judy Ott; children: Robert (Bree) Ott, Jennifer (Dean) Thoreson and Troy (Nikki) Ott; daughter-in-law: Beth Ott; grandchildren: Tanner (Samantha) Thoreson, Garrett, Gavin, Kelynn, Allie, Lucy, Violet, Jozef and Kerstyn Ott; great-grandchildren: Odin and Oliver Thoreson; siblings: Judy (Ralph) Propson, Nancy Davidson and Mark (Vicki) Ott; in-laws: Jim Fredricks, Sue Ott, Kathy Ott, Jim (Marge) Van Heuklon, JoAnn (Bill) Schuman, John (Dori) Van Heuklon, Joyce Smith (Jim Vandenberg), Jean (Clayton) Verhagen, Dave Van Heuklon, Richard Van Heuklon, Gary Van Heuklon, Laurie Van Heuklon (Patrick Neidl) and Ken (Nancy) Van Heuklon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
