Grace Willey

Grace Priscilla Willey - Kaukauna - Age 97, passed on July 4, 2024, at Country Villa Assisted Living, Little Chute. She was born on March 29,1927, to the late Edwin and Marion Nimmer. Grace married Orville Willey on July 2, 1949. Orville preceded her in death in 1971. She worked at O'Connell/Walsh/Hartjes Insurance Agency for 46 years. Grace enjoyed many years of traveling to all parts of the world. She also did many trips with her bowling team. One of her best trips was to Ireland to visit her lifelong pen pal and they continued to keep in touch. She loved to volunteer throughout the community. In 2009 received the lifetime achievement award from the Kaukauna service organizations.  She also enjoyed volunteering at 1000 Islands Environmental Center and Holy Cross Parish. Grace will be remembered for her cookies, homemade pickles, and rhubarb cake. Her cake recipe has been shared with many people. Grace is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; and her two siblings: Kenneth Nimmer and Jean Schumann. Grace is survived by her nieces: Lori (Bruce) Meyerhofer, Pam Droster, Robin Schuler, and Mary Sue (Rafik) Itani; her nephew: Lee (Zola) Nimmer; and many great nieces and nephews.  A funeral visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with a mass to follow at 11 a.m. Grace will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna in honor of Grace.
