Audrey Huss

Audrey Huss - Audrey was born April 25, 1936, to Peter and Anna Evers. She was No. 9 of 10 children. They lived a very modest lifestyle in Little Chute and were a very close-knit family. Audrey married Ron Huss, the love of her life on Sept. 26, 1956. Together they had a family business, Ron Huss Excavating. She was a devoted wife and supported Ron by being a fantastic homemaker. She loved her four children, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She went to heaven peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, surrounded by her children and special sister, Shirley, and husband, Jerry. Audrey had a very bright “sunny” personality. Faith, Family and Friends were her life, in that order. She had deep faith and led her family by Christian example. Ron and Audrey were very involved at Holy Cross Parish. Audrey loved working in the kitchen or serving meals for funerals. She enjoyed daily walks, morning Mass and absolutely loved to sing! Mom was so proud of the medals she received for walking in the Fox Cities Marathon. She visited the elderly in assisted living facilities and brought them smiles. Ron and Audrey spent endless hours in the gym getting bleacher butt attending various sporting events. Haen School lunch lady was another hat she wore, which she loved. She had a huge heart, a bright smile and energy that was unending. Her laugh was fun and contagious. Mom spent a lot of time in the kitchen, always a home cooked meal and many specialties: Christmas cut outs, ice cream cake, twice baked potatoes and Chex mix. She had and unselfish and giving heart. She always provided a shoulder to cry on, listening ears and good advice. Ron and Audrey had a beautiful cottage on Warrington Lake for countless hours of family fun which included pontoon cruises and campfires. The cottage was their little bit of heaven, full of great stories and endless laughter.
