Norbert J. Evers - Age 91, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2024, with his loving wife, Helen, by his side. Just 16 days from his 92nd birthday, he was born on Jan. 16, 1933. Norbert “Norb” was born in the Town of Vandenbroek to the late Martin and Mary (Vanderloop) Evers. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute all of his life, including attending St. John Grade School and High School. He proudly served his country from 1953–55 during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 258. Norb married Helen Feldkamp on Oct. 15, 1957, at St. Paul Parish in Wrightstown. His greatest joy was spending time with family – his wife, kids, grandkids, siblings, in-laws, and their many friends. He worked at Kimberly Clark Corporation for 26 years before starting his own flooring business. He and Helen were very adventurous, taking their eight kids camping during the summer and on special trips (Disney World, Washington D.C, Disneyland, Six Flags, Mount Rushmore and many more wonderful adventures) covering at least 25 states. Norb was a hard worker, but his favorite past times included watching the Brewers, the Packers, and Bucks; fishing, bowling, golfing, playing cards, going to kids’ and grandchildren’s sports and other school activities. He loved to play sheepshead with his card group, volunteering at the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse in New Holstein, and was also always eager to help his kids, and Father Len and S. Celia, with any special projects. He is survived by his loving wife: Helen, who he was married to for 67 years. He is also survived by his children: Ron (Bridget) Evers of Marshfield; Yvonne Evers of Madison; Patricia (Dan) Klarner of Knoxville, Tenn.; Mark (Therese) Evers of Little Chute; Lawrence (Laurie) Evers of Cedarburg; Paul Evers of Shiocton; Karen (Dave) Allen of Kaukauna; Jeanne (Brendon) McDaniel of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Lindsay Evers, Casey (Joshua) Parr, Andrew (Rayna) Klarner, Brandon (Whitney) Klarner, Tyler (Hannah) Klarner; Austin (Ally) Evers, Brianna Evers, Derrick Evers, Kyle Evers, Trevor Evers, Ryan Allen, Brooke Allen, Bailey (Megan) McDaniel and Brynn McDaniel; and great-grandchildren: Lyla Parr, Lucas Klarner, and Arthur Evers. He is also survived by his brothers: Tom (Sue) Evers, Father Leonard Evers, and sisters-in-law Lois Evers, Mary Feldkamp, Theresa Ison, and Joan (Russ) Aerts. In addition to his parents, Norb was preceded in death by his siblings: Geraldine (Elmer) Theunis, Rose (Joe) Dietzen, Richard (Dorothy) Evers, Margaret (Don) Christians, Jerome Evers, S. Celia Evers, Jerome, Margaret, Cecilia, Bertilla, and Martha Evers. Also, his mother and father-in-law: Peter and Catherine Feldkamp; brothers and sisters-in-law: Howard Feldkamp, Ralph Feldkamp, Marie (Lee) Bongers, Ted (Jean) Feldkamp, Kate (Jim) Bongers, Ethel (Jerry) Ebben and Jim Ison. Also, Godchildren: Bruce Evers and John Feldkamp. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
