Elaine Smith

Elaine R. Smith - Age 91, passed away on March 13, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1933, in Denmark to Percy and Edna Ferry. She grew up in Denmark and graduated from Denmark High School, before moving to Two Rivers. Elaine married Donald G. Smith on Nov. 15, 1952, and together they raised four children, Richard, Kay, James, and Kenneth. She worked as a carhop at the Kaukauna A&W, worked in retail at the W. T. Grant Department Store, and worked at Larry’s Piggly Wiggly in Kaukauna. In her free time she enjoyed bowling and playing darts. Elaine was preceded in death by her first husband: Donald Smith; second husband: George Schmitt; son: Richard Smith; parents: Percy and Edna Ferry; siblings: Clifford, June, Lola, and Rose; and special friend: Ron Gasner. She is survived by her children: Kay (Jeff) Liebzeit, James (Judi) Smith, and Kenneth (Daphne) Smith; daughter-in-law: Karen Smith; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Elaine will be held on Saturday, May 3, at noon at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 804 Grignon St, Kaukauna. A visitation will begin at 10 a.m. to the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Bristol Hospice.
