Thomas Dercks

"Chalky"

Thomas N. Dercks “Chalky” - Combined Locks - Age 89, passed away at his home on June 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, while listening to Hallelujah. He was born on Feb. 8, 1935, son of the late Nicholas and Rosemary (Janssen) Dercks. Tom married Margaret “Muggie” Dercks on Sept. 13, 1955, and celebrated 69 years of marriage before her passing in 2024. Tom’s happy place was in the northwoods on Rolling Stone Lake. He and Muggie spent many years creating so many wonderful family memories at their place. You could usually find him fishing or visiting with his neighbors on his famous “governor” golf cart with his beloved dog. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. We will all miss our beloved “Pa.” Tom is survived by his children: Deb (Jeff) Jansen, Peggy (Jerry) Weyers, Timbo (Donna) Dercks, Randy (Kay) Dercks, Todd (Wendy) Dercks and Kathy (Mike) Hanson; grandchildren: Deb’s: Tina (Dan), Chad (Ashley), Dana (Josh), Kara, Jake (Jackie); Peggy’s: Jillian (Mike) and Kaite (Scott); Timbo’s: Nick (Amanda) and Don; Randy’s: Kelly (Quinton), Andy (Theresa) and Samantha (Paul); Todd’s: Heather (John), Stephanie (Brian) and Aaron (Hannah); Kathy’s: Austin (Brittany) and Alex (Amber); great-grandchildren: Randee, Malachi, Abram, Harper, Myles, Kinsley, Owen, Hudson, Memphis, Beau, Emmy, Marlee, Jaxon, Teagan, Wells, Liza, Mara, Ethan, Will, Spencer, Riley, Logan, Haley, Alyza, Ava, Carson, Lennan, Presley, Vivian, Lilianna, Kayson, Emma and Huk; sisters: Joan Geurts and Dolores (Duane) Vanderloop; in-laws: Marge Vosters, Annie (Jim) Albrecht and Stan Martin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife: Muggie; siblings: Julie, Paul, Mutzie, Eleanor, Rusty, Gene, Roger, Laverne, Irene, Scutz, David and Jim; in-laws: Jean Schmidt, Ken Verhoeven and Vonnie Martin.
