Trustees approve Combined Locks budget and tax levy

Following a public hearing on the 2021 budget, which no one attended, the Combined Locks Village Board approved a balanced 2021 budget of $6,076,240 of which $1,656.788 will be on the tax levy at a rate of $5.55 per $1,000.

Attorney George Marek attended this month’s Town of Holland meeting to discuss the town’s agreement with Brown County to operate the South Landfill. Through Marek, the town will request the tipping fee be adjusted from $1.50 per ton to $2.11 and adjusted annually by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (Midwest Region).
