Plenty of praise heard at Kaukauna Board of Education meeting


Brian Roebke photos — Superintendent Mike Slowinski and Board President Chris Bouressa presented a plaque and flower to Sue (Weigman) Gertz’s daughters, Sarah Larsen, Any Stenz, and Cindy Bruecker, at last week’s board meeting. Gertz passed away March 14, ending her long association with the school district, including time as an employee and board member following her graduation in 1958.

The Little Chute Fire Department, Village of Little Chute, and its residents celebrated the long-awaited groundbreaking for a new fire station on Thursday afternoon at the corner of Grand Avenue and Hans Parkway, which will be the back side of the building a year from now.
