Common council hears plans for 2021 Fox Firecracker event


Brian Roebke photo/A large crowd was on hand in Kaukauna on July 4, 2019, for the start of the Fox Firecraker 5K, which plans to return this year after a year off due to the pandemic.
The 4th of July in Kaukauna will see the return of the popular Fox Firecracker run and associated fanfare once again after turning to a virtual session during the 2020 pandemic.
The event hopes to return to full stride once again as a live event, but with some safety precautions included.

May 17 tax deadline comes Monday

Wisconsin’s tax season was extended to May 17 this year due to COVID-19. To date, 2.55 million tax filers submitted returns out of an expected 3 million.

Starlite Club will host this community event on June 24 at W2091 County Road JJ in Kaukauna.

She will serve in President John Neumeier’s absences through April 2022.

SEH receives masonry award for Kaukauna Fire Department building

The City of Kaukauna Fire Department is very proud of its new fire station at the corner of Second Street and Reaume Avenue and now it has another reason to be proud.

1000 Islands confirms four eaglets in nest

Staff at the 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna confirmed there are four eaglets in the eagle nest in the islands that dates back to 1988, and to their knowledge, there have only been three other documented nests with four chicks in the United States.

Fox Valley Metro Police respond to Little Chute swatting call

Officers with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Buchanan St. in the Village of Little Chute on Thursday evening for the report of a “family disturbance which resulted in a death.”
