Kimberly High School student dies following motorcycle crash

A 17-year-old Kimberly High School senior, Anthony Douglas, lost his life on Monday, Oct. 4, after the motorcycle he was driving crashed on Buchanan Road near DeBruin Road in the Village of Combined Locks.

Human remains found at High Cliff State Park

The remains of an “older post adolescent male” were found on the grounds of High Cliff State Park on Wednesday. 
Sheriff Mark Wiegert says the remains are not associated with a Native American burial site that may be on the park grounds.

One Kaukauna elementary classroom goes virtual with 7 positive cases

Kaukauna Utilities, the community’s locally owned, not-for-profit municipal utility, participated in the WPPI Energy Annual Meeting on Sept. 16. The utility is a member-owner of WPPI Energy, a not-for-profit wholesale electricity provider and joint action agency.

Kaukauna Fire Department extinguishes electrical fire

The Kaukauna Fire Department responded on Friday to a fire at 1901 Augustine St. at approximately 10:40 a.m. where a detached garage was found filled with smoke. Fire department personnel made entry through a side door and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
