Highway N, OO closed for maintenance work

This Outagamie County Highway Department is working on a pair of projects that will affect Little Chute residents.
The first is rubblizing the existing concrete pavement and placing a new asphalt overlay on a segment of Highway N from Highway OO to Highway 96 (Madison Street).

Kaukauna FD responds to garage fire on July 30

The Kaukauna Fire Department responded on July 30 at 9 p.m. to a fire at 1901 Augustine St., where the detached garage was found filled with smoke, some leaking from the soffit. Fire Department personnel made entry through a side door and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

COVID-19 vaccinations now available Appleton Fox River Mall

A collaboration between Outagamie County Public Health Division and the Wisconsin National Guard will provide COVID-19 vaccinations to the public, ages 12 and older, at the Outagamie County COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic inside the Fox River Mall near Scheels.

Seasoning company recalls Haen Meat Packing blend because of possible health risk

Excalibur Seasoning Company of Pekin, Ill. is recalling 17 bottles of Haen Meats 1959 House Blend because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Gov. Evers appoints Yadira Rein as Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge

Governor Tony Evers has appointed Yadira Rein to the Outagamie County Circuit Court. The appointment fills a vacancy created by Judge Gregory B. Gill, Jr.’s election to the Court of Appeals, District III. She will serve a term ending July 31, 2022.

FCC to require 10-digit dialing code for Wisconsin residents beginning Oct. 24

Beginning Oct. 24, 2021, all customers with the area codes 262, 414, 608, and 920 need to dial the area code and telephone number in order to connect their local and long-distance calls. This will apply to all calls that are currently dialed with seven digits.
