City of Kaukauna reveals pool master plan


Submitted illustration/The current version of the Kaukauna swimming pool master plan shows a new bath house and other improvements on the outside of the pool well that’s still in good shape.
The Kaukauna Recreation Department is in the process of developing a master plan for the revitalization of the Kaukauna Municipal Pool and is looking for public input.

History Museum at the Castle to reopen Father’s Day weekend

APPLETON — The History Museum at the Castle will reopen to the public Friday, June 18.
The History Museum will be open to the public Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. through the summer. It will schedule group visits Monday through Thursday to limit the number of visitors at a given time.

The long-awaited Nelson Family Heritage Crossing officially opens to the public on Friday, June 18. 
The crossing is a 1,100-foot bicycle and pedestrian bridge between Heesakker Park in the Village of Little Chute and a new rail trail connection that makes its way to downtown Kaukauna.

Tim Harvey spends several hours a day outside exploring wildlife and he’s found all sorts of neat stuff lately but nothing better than a new peregrine falcon nest in the wall of the navigational canal in Kaukauna. The nest site is unusual because it’s out in the open and not in a secluded area.

70th Appleton Flag Day Parade returns on Saturday
