Vandenhouten resigns as LCES principal

A series of meetings between Little Chute Elementary School Principal Marc Vandenhouten and district administrators resulted in the Little Chute School Board accepting his letter of resignation.
Vandenhouten cited family concerns in his resignation and regretted leaving the position he has held for the past two years.

Students at River View Middle School get their first chance to participate in the annual spelling bee in fifth grade, but it’s usually an older student who wins the contest.
But not this year.
Fifth grade student Bentley Fox scored a come-from-behind victory in the bee held at the Kaukauna Civic Auditorium.

Kaukauna bowling team includes special needs students


Brian Roebke photo/ Nick Grady has Cerebral Palsy, but that doesn’t stop him from bowling for Kaukauna High School since his mother Betty helps him set up. He’s believed to be the only bowler in the state who uses a wheelchair.
The Kaukauna Area School District is proud of its inclusion of all students in student activities and yet another example is the Kaukauna High School bowling team.
The team has a varsity team and two junior varsity teams. The unique part of the second team this year is team members consist of special needs students.
