Poppleton is Kaukauna Lions Student of the Month

Chelsea Poppleton, daughter of Darren and Carmen Poppleton, was named Kaukauna Lions Student of the Month for the month of September.
She loves to study math because it teaches her to think critically and find logical solutions to problems.

River View wins Kaukauna National Honor Society food drive competition

With the holidays coming soon, the Kaukauna High School National Honor Society held its annual food drive among district schools and there is a new winner in town. River View Middle School won this year’s contest, with students donating 8.3 items per student. The grade 5-8 school donated a whopping 9,185 items.

Kimberly village board delays 2022 budget vote

The Kimberly Village Board held a public hearing on next year’s budget last week, recognized levy dollars at $3,683,000 of the $9,943,775 budget, but postponed action until this week because the state had not notified the village of the state equalized ratio, which is necessary for the determination of the mill rate.

Duerwaechter to retire at end of school year

One of the most successful superintendent tenures in the history of the Kaukauna Area School District is coming to an end at the end of June when Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter retires.
Duerwaechter’s retirement was approved by the board of education following a closed session on Nov. 8.

Fox Valley Association schools come together for student leadership summit

It’s rare when high school athletes come together outside of a competition setting but that’s what they did last week when Kaukauna High School hosted students from seven Fox Valley Association Schools as part of the 2021 FVA Student Leadership Summit.
