The pre-referendum plan for the new middle school in Kaukauna included the increased cost of $6 million more than conventional HVAC to install a geothermal heating and cooling system.
Superintendent Mike Slowinski reported planning and work on the initial design phase for the referendum projects is continuing at the Kaukauna Area School District Board of Education meeting on Monday, Jan. 27.
The Little Chute School Board at last week’s meeting approved up to 10 students attending the DECA International Career Development Conference held April 25-30 in Orlando, Fla.
Almost a year and a half of work from the Kaukauna Area School District Technology Committee has resulted in a revised technology plan to align with the future ready framework and the district’s continuous improvement plan.

Students can read about business all they want to learn about the field but Kaukauna High School students now have a new opportunity to learn about business: by starting one.
