Kaukauna student athlete Aaron Schimke has added another milestone to his running career. The WIAA state participant this spring defeated Olympic record holder Allen Webb in Kaukauna’s Firecracker run on July 4.
Grant Gloudemans led the way for the Kimberly legion baseball team as the Cougars split their games against the Omro Foxes Legion team last week. Gloudemans struck out four on the mound and grabbed two hits offensively in two games as the team improved to 6-3 on the summer.
Three Little Chute pitchers made their mark in the Mustangs legion ball record book. Drew Joten, Jake Weigman and Rowen Schmidt combined to no-hit Wrightstown this week.
Owen Pawlikowski got to ball out one more time at the high school level before he takes his talents down to Florida. Pawlikowski scored 11 points as the White team defeated the Red team 107-100 in the Division 1 WBCA All-Star Game at Just A Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

Kaukauna junior Pierson Vande Hey is already looking to improve on his All-Conference honor this spring. Vande Hey received first team honors in the Fox Valley Association, and was one of two Ghosts players mentioned with that honor.
Little Chute High School athletics received 12 first team all-conference honors this spring including seven spots in track and field. The Mustangs received three spots alone for just their relay teams this season.
Senior Al Leitner ended his Papermakers career on a high note. Leitner shared the Co-Pitcher of the Year award in the Fox Valley Association with Hortonville’s Thomas Burns, while also being one four Kimberly representatives on the conference’s first team.
Pitchers Karly Meredith and Skyler Calmes added to Kaukauna’s team accolades as both players received spots on the All-State team. Meredith and Calmes earned first team honors by the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association.
