Kimberly senior Jenna Shea is joining fellow senior MaKenzie Drout as one of the next Papermakers to play college basketball. Shea recently committed to Lakeland University as she looks to continue her academic and athletic career.

Little Chute senior Riley Schultz is still racking up the double-doubles this season. Schultz now has nine double-doubles on the season.

The Kimberly Papermakers came up one shot away from upsetting the current FVA leader last week. MaKenzie Drout missed a three for the Papermakers with four seconds left as Kimberly was handed a 48-46 loss at home.

Addison Baumgart had two big games for Kaukauna despite the Galloping Ghosts getting another loss on the season. The sophomore had two games of 26 points as she helped the Ghosts get a win against West De Pere last week.

The Little Chute boys basketball team reached the 20 win milestone last week after their win against Waupaca. The win total is the most the team has had since a 25 win campaign in 2012.

Kaukauna was rolling along during Friday’s Fox Valley Association boys matchup with Kimberly with a semi-comfortable lead until the Galloping Ghosts gave the Papermakers an opening.

Kimberly took advantage of that opening and stunningly beat the Ghosts 60-59.
