Ava Bloch led the way again for the Kaukauna golf team as she finished with the fifth best nine hole score in school history last week. Bloch had a 38 on Countryside Golf Course on Aug. 23.

The no. 3 doubles team duked it out for Kaukauna this week against Appleton West. The team of Molly Schneider and Karlyn Brockman fell in an extra match (4-6, 6-0, 10-6) to Kendra Lorenz and Kami Beyersdorf on Aug. 24.

Jordan Demerath is the new head coach of Little Chute boys soccer. The 2015 UW-Whitewater graduate and former Little Chute alum is taking the reigns of the program after Martin Arias stepped down a week before the season started.

Cross country runners Aaron Schimke and Logan Salzmann took first place finishes this week in cross country. Schimke won for Kaukauna during the Freedom Irish Waters Invite, while Salzmann took first in the Teror Invitational on Winagamie Golf Course.

Finnley Doriot had a night as he helped carry the Kaukauna football team back from a first half deficit. Doriot threw five touchdowns in Friday night’s 43-42 overtime loss to West De Pere at Bank of Kaukauna Stadium.

Little Chute holds ceremony opening new turf

The Little Chute athletic programs held an opening ceremony last week to officially show the public the school’s new turf. The public is also able to check out the field by walking or playing on the field after games this season.
