Evelyn Truyman Knapp

Evelyn M Truyman Knapp - Kaukauna - Age 97, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 14, 2022, at St. Paul Elder Services. Evelyn was born to Benedict and Theresa Truyman on Nov. 1, 1924. She graduated from Kaukauna High School. She married her high school sweetheart William Knapp on Feb. 21, 1946. She was a homemaker and worked at Look’s Drug Store for over 20 years. After retirement they moved to Pickerel, where she enjoyed time with her family, fishing, volunteering at church and rides on the pontoon. She will be remembered mostly for her kindness, strong family values, love of music, and her unwavering faith. She was committed to serving others in all she did as well as being an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna and St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband: William; parents: Ben and Theresa; father and mother in-law: Ed and Edith; siblings: Ben (Geraldine), Jerry (Marie), Jack (Laura), Lorraine (Robert) Fuerst; sister in-law: Elaine, and great grandson: Graham. Evelyn is survived by her children: Bruce (Bonnie), Janet (Irv) Keough, Paul (Mary); brother in-law: Robert; grandchildren: Scott (Laura), Chris (Stacy), Coreen (Gary) Wyngaard, Micaela (Jeremy) Wadzinski, Mara Nelson, Kelyn Gillis, Kendra (Michael) Driessen, Riley (Amanda), Skyler (Tori) Keough; and great-grandchildren: Justin (Alexis), Amanda, Sam, Emma, Jacob, Paige, Jaxson, Owen, Tristan, Aiden, Amelya, Clara, Frances, Greta, Everett, Vincent, Estelle, and Hattie. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of St. Paul Elder Services and St. Paul Hospice Services for all their love and compassion over the past years. Memorials to St. Paul Elder Services in Evelyn’s name are appreciated. The funeral liturgy for Evelyn was held on March 19 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukaunam, with the Fr. Don Everts officiating. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. “You are our Sunshine and you will always be the song in our heart.”
