Lynne Geerts - Age 77, passed peacefully in her home in Kaukauna with loved ones present on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She fought cancer just like she lived her life – gracefully and with class never showing up to a single appointment without a full face of makeup, perfectly pieced together outfit, and accessorized with her Swarovski crystal cane. Lynne was born on Feb. 19, 1945, in Appleton to Joseph and Mildred Heindel and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1964. She married Jim Geerts on Nov. 3, 1965, and they enjoyed almost 57 loving years of marriage where she was a rock to Jim and the family for decades. She loved her grandkids and looked forward to enjoying the Naples sun every winter. Her family will dearly miss her sass, beautiful blue eyes, and delicious pumpkin pie. Lynne is survived by her husband: Jim and their daughters: Hollie (Clyde) Weycker and Heidi (Pete) Hoerning; her five grandchildren: Kaylee, Bennett, and Karly Weycker and Tyler and Alyssa Hoerning. She is further survived by siblings: Dan (Judy) Heindel and Sharon (Brian) Freund; in-laws: Tom (Judy) Geerts and Mike (Karen) Geerts; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents: Mildred and Joseph Heindel; in-laws: Peter and Margret Geerts; and a niece: Jill Heindel. The family would also like to further thank the nurses and aides from Moments Hospice for their loving care, more specifically Gabi and Christina. Lynne took pride in quietly supporting many wonderful charities. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name with donations going to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Funeral services were held July 19 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
