JoAnn K. Van Handel - Little Chute - Age 68, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Appleton on Sept. 11, 1955, to the late Herman and Delores (Kurey) Van Handel. JoAnn attended Plamann School until age 21.

Geraldine R. King - “Gerry” - Kaukauna - Age 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, with her family at her side. She was born on May 9, 1958 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Robert E. and Frances C. (Lamers) Haen.

Russell James Sova-Age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. He was born to the late Arnold and Margie (Krueger) Sova on Dec. 29, 1943. A celebration of life was held on Jan. 8 at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna.

Martin E. Birschbach - formerly of Kaukauna - Age 90, passed away on Nov. 29, 2023. Born on Nov. 25, 1933, to Martin J. and Elma M. (Schmitz) Birschbach, Martin attended school in Mt. Calvary. He married his beloved life partner, Lorraine S. (Krebsbach) Birschbach, in 1955.

Norman Gene Ott - Age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 7, 2023. He was born on April 23, 1948, son of the late Roger and Amanda (Krueger) Ott. Norman married Judy Van Heuklon on Aug. 3, 1967.

Elizabeth Verona Stephan Nytes Ribarchek - "Bette" - Age 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, in Indianapolis, Ind. Bette was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Aesketon to Arthur and Vernie Stephan, and raised in Wrightstown, where she helped in the family business, Stephan’s Tavern.

James Henry McDaniel - “Jim” - Age 91, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 2023, after a battle with dementia. He was born on Nov. 8, 1932, son of the late Gordon and Elvira (Van Lannen) McDaniel.
