The Hansen connection

The Kaukauna Times was established in 1880. Ownership of the company has been in the Hansen family since 1925, when it was purchased by Glenn and Lyle's uncle, Carl Hansen.
Glenn started working at The Times part-time while he was in grade school and full-time during the summers when he was in high school and college.
He was named advertising salesman and circulation manager in January 1963. Hansen acquired company stock and was elected to the board of directors in 1965. He assumed the duties of president and publisher in 1991.
The Hansens sold the newspaper to Add Inc., a division of Journal Communications, and Glenn became part of the Fox Cities Newspapers group, working in advertising sales and as general manager of The Times.
Since Fox Cities Newspapers ceased operation in mid-January 2002, Glenn was involved in restarting the newspaper, bringing it back home where it belongs.
Glenn and his wife Joyce live in Kaukauna and have four children and one grandchild.
