Ronald Beattie

Ronald M. Beattie Age 89, was called to heaven March 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in his final days. Ron was born on Feb. 29, 1936, to the late Vernon and Mary Beattie in Little Chute. He attended St. John Catholic School in Little Chute and that was where his roots remained for the duration of his life. He married Mary Ann Evers on Sept. 13, 1958. Together they built a loving family including five children: Randy Beattie, Theresa (John) Verbeten, Dawn (Joe) VanZeeland, Brian Beattie (Chrissy Wanty) and Brad Beattie (Liz Revis). Ron was a long-time employee of Kimberly Clark. He was an avid hunter and even at 88 years old managed to harvest two deer. He was a dog lover and you could always find him with a pup by his side. He was an Irishman who was proud of his heritage. One of his best traits was Ron as a grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include four of his five children, his grandchildren: Jessica (Jamie) Verstegen, Eric (Melissa) Beattie, Tessa (Thomas) Moore, Arianna (Darcy) Beattie, Ethan (Aleah) Beattie, Evan (Lindsey) Beattie, Emery Beattie, Anissa (Jake) McChesney, Jason (Jenn) Verbeten, Jacob (Betsy) Verbeten, Jeremy (Justine) Verbeten, Luke (Brittany) VanZeeland, Mathew (Olivia) VanZeeland, Conner (Nicole) VanZeeland, Brittnie (Ryan) Menges, and McKenzie (Mitch) Kappelman. Ron also leaves behind 20 great-grandchildren with an additional three due later this year. He is further survived by Gerald (Kathy) Beattie, Joan LaFond, Noreen Mrotek, Nathalie Beattie, Ade Evers and Celeste Evers. Ron was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ann; his parents: Vernon and Mary Beattie, John and Minnie Evers; his son: Randy; his granddaughter: Kara and his uncle “pappy” (Lester); siblings and in-laws: Ed (Vi) Evers, Ray (Del) Evers, Henry Evers, Gordan (Rosalie) Evers, George Evers, Tony (Lorraine) Evers, Sebastian (Peggy) Evers, Donald (Elaine) Evers, Delia (Martin) Joosten, Katie (Ray Brockman), Royal Beattie, Jean (Carl) Johnson, Yvonne (Douglas) Ackley, Roderick LaFond, Bob Mrotek, Mary Ellen (Daniel) Sanders, Allen Beattie, Karen Beattie, Patricia Massey and Lynn Beattie. To honor Ron’s Irish roots his celebration of life will be Monday, March 17, 2025 (St. Patrick’s Day), at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute. There will be a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a traditional catholic service to follow. The service will be officiated by Fr. Ron Belitz.
