Kaukauna commissions study for possible high density housing on properties

There will be a renewed emphasis on developing some near north side Kaukauna properties that have seen several ideas for potential development that waned.

Principal Planner Allyson Watson Brunette explained the previous ideas were sound, but the developer experienced health issues and eventually backed away from the concepts.

Buchanan approves 2021 budget and tax levy

The Buchanan Town Board approved a $6,751,945 overall budget that includes the general fund, the stormwater utility fund and the transportation utility fund. The tax levy will amount to $2,374,348 and have a mill rate of $3.10, down from $3.18 from last year.

The Kimberly Village Board approved a 2021 budget of $9,499,344 with a tax levy of $3,448,605 and a mill rate of 7.5897, which was 3.77 percent less than last year.

The 2021 village portion of the Little Chute budget was unanimously approved at the Nov. 4 edition of the village board meeting. The approval followed a public hearing in which the budget details were reviewed by Village Administrator James Fenlon.
