Freshman Athena Xiong has been leading the way for the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts gymnastics team. Xiong had some of the team’s top finishes in their meets with Oshkosh and Markesan last week.
The Little Chute girls basketball team is finally back on the winning side of things. The team used a 15 point halftime lead against Waupaca to help earn their third win of the season.
When the Kaukauna Ghosts faced the Hortonville Polar Bears on Dec. 16, they were coming off their first loss of the season after three victories and lost their second straight game, by 15 points.
MaKenzie Drout and Raegan Krueger showed it on the scoreboard and on the boards last week for the Kimberly Papermakers girls basketball team. Both had double-double performances last week in the team’s games against Oshkosh North and Oshkosh West.
Defense was key last week for the Little Chute Mustangs boys basketball team. The team used that strong suit to add three more wins to their impressive season.
Kimberly grads are making a huge impact in their fields of competition. Rowen Ellenberg highlighted the former Papermakers last week for the Wisconsin Badgers track and field team.
The Kaukauna boys basketball team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end in stunning fashion on Thursday night at Oshkosh West, giving up a 14-point second-half lead, losing 69-65 to the Wildcats.
The Kimberly wrestling team added two more wins last week after finishing fourth in a 30 team tournament prior to the team’s wins against Appleton North and Oshkosh West.
The Kimberly Papermakers girls basketball team gritted out two wins last week. Both of their wins against Appleton East and Fond du Lac came down to clutch moments for the team.
