Jane M. Vanden Heuvel - Little Chute - Age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on April 8, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1931, to Willard (Preacher) and Mildred Van Handel. On Oct. 10, 1951, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Vanden Heuvel. Together they raised their daughters, Mary and Clare. For 31 years Jane taught evening sewing classes through Fox Valley Tech. She began teaching at the Little Chute Town Hall and eventually moved to the Little Chute High School. Jane worked in the tailoring department at WA Close for 15 years. She then went to work at Stitch’s Alterations for another 15 years. Jane was a member of the St. John Mission Club for many years, along with the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a founding member of the Little Chute Historical Society, where she contributed to the Little Chute Historical Society Book. She is survived by her daughters: Mary (Dave) Gitter and Clare Vanden Hogen; grandchildren: Jacob (Courtney) Gitter, Josh (Jenny) Gitter, Laura (Brandon) Halverson, Sam (Kim Vosburg) Vanden Hogen and Anna (Tim) Van Eperen; seven great-grandchildren: Bennett, Abe, Noelle, Archer, Kenna, Everly and Lincoln; in-laws: Delores Machurick, Barbara (Mike) Kons and Donna (Bob) Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lloyd; sisters and their husbands: Donna (Greg) Hanegraaf, Elaine (Duane) Hennes and Mary Ann Van Handel; in-laws: Peter J. (Dora) Vanden Heuvel, Clarence (Urs) Vanden Heuvel, Jerome (Noreen) Vanden Heuvel, Eugene Vanden Heuvel, Paul (Laverne) Vanden Heuvel, Mike Machurick and Ken (Anne) Vanden Heuvel. Funeral Services were held April 14 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A memorial is being established in Jane’s name. The Vanden Heuvel family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Paul Villa, and to all her friends at the Villa for the compassionate care provided to Jane.
