Ghosts finish with ‘unprecedented’ seven place-winners at state


Andrew Hanlon photo Kaukauna’s Greyson Clark won the 126-pound individual state title Saturday in front of home fans in Kaukauna and celebrated by bear-hugging head coach Jeff Matczak.
The Kaukauna wrestling program seems like, at this point, it has filled the entire record book, not to mention trophy case. However, the Ghosts somehow came away from Saturday’s WIAA Division 1 State Individual Wrestling tournament having accomplished something they never have before: Putting seven wrestlers on the podium.
