“I just love doing it,” said Lee Hammen of his 40 years of teaching hunter safety classes first at the 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna and, after retiring as naturalist and director there, in his home town of Kimberly.
Graduation celebrations are wrapping up across the Fox Valley as students and parents mark a transition to adulthood. For Scott and Lisa Sheppard of Sherwood, it is a reminder that their son Grant, who would have been a part of Kaukauna High School’s graduating Class of 2023, is not part of the festivities.
