The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts track and field team brings back a solid distance team back from last season. The Ghosts bring back five state qualifiers from last year’s team as they improve on a strong showing last year.
We had a season full of ups and downs this season in the Heart of the Valley in girls basketball. It began with state title hopes from Kaukauna and ended with a tight sectional semifinal between conference rivals.

The Little Chute Mustangs boys basketball season came to an end last week. Xavier used a 20-3 run in the second half as the Mustangs fell in the sectional semifinals at Clintonville High School on March 9.

The Kaukauna Ghosts had to survive an outstanding first half played by Manitowoc Lincoln to win Friday’s WIAA Division 1 Regional Semifinal game, 83-72.
Kimberly senior Miriana Van Abel is staying close to home for her collegiate athletic career. The senior recently committed to St. Norbert as she will be a part of the tennis team there next fall.
SHEBOYGAN — While it was a “seeding upset” on paper, the Kaukauna Ghosts boys basketball fully expected to beat Sheboygan North on Saturday evening on the road in a WIAA Division 1 Regional Championship game.
What they didn’t expect was for the game to be so close.
After using a big second half run to earn a win over Germantown, the Kimberly Papermakers boys basketball team saw their season end with a regional final loss to Homestead last week.
Kenzie Drout ended her basketball career with a big game against another of the state’s best teams. Drout had a double-double in her final game as a Papermaker as the team was eliminated from the WIAA tournament last week.
