The Kimberly Papermakers girls volleyball team has been nearly perfect during their postseason run. The Papermakers added two more sweeps as they punched their ticket to state for the first time since 2018 after sweeping De Pere and West De Pere in sectionals last week.
Little Chute alum Lauren Wegand took first in the Luther vs. UW-La Crosse dual cross country meet last week as she ran a time of 18:41.7, while Sami Miller took third with a time of 18:52.8. Ella Pahl ran a fourth place time of 19:00.1, while Ashley Wilson rana time of 19:08.5.
Emma and Lila Tesch are one of two pairs of sisters in the Kimberly Papermakers girls volleyball program and they are strengthening their sibling bond in their only year together playing on the varsity team at the school.
The Kaukauna boys soccer team has accomplished something that hasn’t been done in over a decade. The Ghosts are sectional bound after beating West De Pere on the road in a regional final match last week.
Little Chute junior Ben Toeppler added another impressive finish to his resume this fall. Toeppler was Little Chute’s top finisher at last week’s Waupaca sectional as he took third with a time of 16:43.3.
After over a week off of competition, the Kimberly Papermakers girls volleyball team put on a dominating performance in their regional final sweep of Appleton East. In the home win, the Papermakers won the first two sets by double digits to secure the momentum and get the win.
The Little Chute Mustangs volleyball team ended their season last week suffering a three set playoff loss to West Bend East. The Suns dominated the Mustangs by double digits in the first two sets before ending Little Chute’s season with the loss (13-25, 15-25, 19-25).
RICE LAKE – Kaukauna quarterback Ryan Carrel had a stellar showing despite a season ending road loss in Rice Lake last week. Carrel threw for three touchdowns in Kaukauna’s 30-20 loss in round one of the playoffs.
Kimberly and Kaukauna will once again continue their crosstown boys volleyball rivalry with another matchup this week after playing against each other last week. Both teams earned first round wins and continued the rivalry with a sectional matchup at Kimberly on Tuesday.
The Kimberly girls cross country team is headed back to state after a second place finish at the De Pere sectional on the Shorewood cross country course in Green Bay. The Papermakers took second with 71 points in the meet.
