The Bay-Lakes Council is excited to announce its Scouting for Food Drive 2021. Scouts of all

10 ages from the Bay-Lakes Council will distribute bags on Saturday, April 10, and return to collect them beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 17.

The Corn Hole Tournament has been postponed to Aug. 4 at Tanner’s Grill & Bar and the car wash and brat fry has been canceled, but the Kimberly firefighters are planning a larger July 3 fireworks event because it is on a Saturday.

The Harrison Village Board put the hiring of an assistant village clerk/treasurer on a fast track last week when faced with her departure and that of the village clerk/treasurer on Friday.

An important first step toward a return to what many call “normalcy” was taken Wednesday, March 31 by the Little Chute Village Board.

Makenna Nushart is a junior at Kaukauna High School who hopes to attend a four-year university 

following graduation; in doing so, she will be part of the first generation to do so in her family. 

The Heart of the Valley Metro-politan Sewerage District held its quarterly community meeting at the Kaukauna Community Room Thursday where Scott Schramm of Strategic Municipal Services gave a report on the work done on the upcoming sewer interceptor rehabilitation project.

No one spoke at a public hearing Wednesday, March 24, for utility and street construction work on Hartzheim and Evergreen drives in Little Chute.

Village Engineer Chris Murawski led the presentation that discussed the work that will be completed over a 24-week period from April to October.

A Baker Tilly evaluation of Kaukauna Utilities last year showed a need for more staffing in the IT department and evidence of that continues to come to the Kaukauna Utilities Commission. The department serves both the utility and City of Kaukauna.
