APPLETON – Just like all season long, the Kimberly girls’ basketball team wasn’t going to go down without a fight.
Even though Appleton East, ranked No. 3 in Division 1, downed the Papermakers twice during the regular season by an average of 33½ points, the Kimberly players were ready to battle.
Senior Night started out with a bang on Thursday night but the Kaukauna boys basketball could not sustain it, losing to the Fox Valley Association champions and state’s top-ranked Division 1 team, Neenah, 78-67.

Heading into last weekend’s WIAA Division 1 Regional play, there were a variety of real possibilities with the Kaukauna girls basketball team, but it ended with the best possible possibility, with the Ghosts winning the regional with a 71-58 victory at Milwaukee King on Saturday night.

Karsen Otis of Kimberly earned a 14-4 major decision win over Carter Lovy of West Bend West in their consolation semfinal match at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament in Madison.

APPLETON — With the WIAA ready to fire up its computer in a few days to complete post-season seeding, the Kaukauna boys basketball team wanted a good performance Friday evening at Appleton West and got it.
The Little Chute boys basketball team clinched a winning record in the North Eastern Conference last week with North Eastern Confer-ence victories over Marinette and Waupaca.
NEENAH — Some things never seem to change, and the Kaukauna wrestling team showed that to be true last Tuesday night, defeating Pulaski 50-26 in a WIAA Division 1 Team Wrestling Sectional at Neenah High School.
