Kaukauna girls fall to top-ranked Hortonville

Kaukauna’s girls basketball team gave the state’s No. 1-ranked Division 1 team a scare on Friday night at Kaukauna.
The Lady Ghosts led 28-24 at halftime but were outscored 38-23 in the second half to suffer a 62-51 loss to Hortonville.

Ghosts wrap up Fox Valley Association title with 84-0 win over Fond du Lac

Kaukauna celebrated yet another Fox Valley Association championship with an 84-0 win over Fond du Lac on Thursday night.
The match started at 170, where Logan Bammen pinned Zachary Theisen in 1:36. At 182, Drew Wendzicki pinned Maxwell George in 2:33. At 195, Bryant Correa pinned Logan Sabel in 49 seconds.

Kaukauna wrestling coach Jeff Matczak brought his Ghosts to his alma mater on Saturday and left as champions of the Pulaski Invitational, traditionally the last tournament before the WIAA postseason, and always one of the best tournaments in Northeastern Wisconsin.

In a game that was close but not THAT close, the Kaukauna boys basketball team held off Fond du Lac 87-79 on Tuesday night. 
The Ghosts built a 24-8 lead and it looked like it could become a blowout but Fond du Lac’s Jamariea Dalton would not have it.
