The Fox Cities Stars boys’ hockey team endured a number of ups and downs during a long and difficult 2020-21 season. Most of the campaign may have been considered to be on the “down” side, but in the last few weeks a switch was flipped and the Stars were able to end a tumultuous year on an upswing.

The Little Chute girls went into Tuesday night’s opening-round playoff matchup against New London having earned their third win of the season just one week prior.
But a cold Mustangs’ offense that managed only nine first-half points doomed Little Chute as the girls’ season came to a close in a 55-30 loss to the Bulldogs.

Kaukauna to host team state as No. 1 seed in Division 1: Tournament preview

THE TOURNAMENT:  The 30th Annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Team Wrestling Tournament will take place Saturday, Feb. 20. The Division 1 tournament will be held at Kaukauna High School. Ticket prices for the tourney are $16 for for the entire day.

Kimberly boys win final 14 games to earn share of FVA championship

After an 84-51 home win over Appleton West Thursday — and coupled with Neenah’s win at Oshkosh North the same night — the table was set for the Papermakers to earn a share of the Fox Valley Association regular-season title. All Kimberly had to do was beat Appleton East on the road Saturday afternoon and win its 14th consecutive game.

Kimberly girls beat East for third time to win regional title

The Kimberly’s girls’ basketball team faced a situation that tests the strength of championship-caliber teams.
Leading by as many as 17 points in the second half, the Papermakers fell behind Appleton East in the closing minutes of their WIAA Division 1 regional final Saturday night.
