There once was a saying for Broadway productions that opened in other cities prior to their New York City premiere. How something played in Philadelphia or another chosen city reflected on what might happen when the show hit the big stage.

During a joint meeting last week, the Kimberly and Little Chute village boards approved a $4,014,920 Fox Valley Metro Police Department budget for 2023. Revenue of $177,700 brings the levy portion of the budget to $3,837,220.

Kaukauna High School technology education teacher Dan Van Boxtel won a tool cart and $50,000 check from the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools program. He was one of 20 winners nationwide and the only winner in Wisconsin.
“I want to have a good conversation about “The Modern Jungles” and its content,” author Pao Lor said about his book. “I am still trying to understand what I put together.”

A contractor surprised both the village engineers and local businesses by showing up on a recent morning ready to work on Main Street without the usual advance notice for the downtown crosswalks and turn lane repair project. Work is estimated to continue until the end of October.

With a second look at the fiber optic network known as the Little Chute Community Access Network, the village board approved previous village plans to expand the fiber optic network following previously outlined uses. The action came at their Sept. 21 meeting.
