Dominic Fletcher had the top finish for the Little Chute track and field team last week. The senior won the 400 meter dash with a finish of 53.7 seconds.
The boys team tied with Kaukauna with 42 points for fifth, while the girls took ninth with 24 points.
Madison Krueger and Hunter Sprangers highlighted Kimberly’s indoor meet in Ripon last week. Krueger won the 400 meter dash, while Sprangers won the shot put as the both teams took second with 75 points.
Led by standouts Ashley Wilson and Sami Miller on the girls side and Hayden Carroll on the boys side, the Little Chute Mustangs track and field teams are looking for another conference championship year again this year.
The area will get to see area alumni such as Logan Pearson and Levi Borchert in action again this week in this year’s version of the Holy Cross men’s basketball open.
On the boys side, this year’s basketball run was the definition of March Madness. All four of the teams in our coverage area made it to sectionals highlighted by an impressive postseason run from the Kimberly boys basketball team.
