Basketball can be a funny game. On Dec. 27, the Kaukauna boys basketball team suffered a 10-point loss at Neenah in a game they expected to win.
The Rockets controlled the pace of the game that night, slowing down the high-flying Ghosts 66-56.

The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts girls basketball team played a close one on the road last week against conference foe Neenah. The Ghosts got another big performance from senior Addison Baumgart, while Keira Plate and Ava Reader stepped up late in a 62-58 win.

Turnovers and a late first half run ended Kimberly’s 16 game winning streak. With the game tied late in the first half, Pewaukee made a 14-4 run to take the advantage in a midseason battle of top 10 teams in the state.

Kaukauna wrestling gets five first place finishes at Pulaski invite

The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts wrestling team had five first place finishes as they won the Pulaski invite last weekend. Liam Crook, Brady Sprangers, Andy DiPiazza, Nick Jenkins and Ryan Schmidt earned first place finishes as the Ghosts scored 269.5 points in the invite.

MOSINEE – The Kaukauna Ghosts withstood an early onslaught from Mosinee’s Treve Stoffel to come from behind to pull away from the Indians in a mid-season non-conference battle, 89-68, at Mosinee on Saturday evening.
