Carter Erdmann just continues to rake after a year of not playing baseball. The senior had a big week including a home run and a three hit performance as Kimberly improved to 11-0 on the summer season.
The Kaukauna Angels Legion baseball team is the definition of family this year as siblings and cousins are playing this summer together for the first time. Siblings Kyle and Kaden Kress are playing Legion baseball this summer together along with their cousin Cole Bowers.
Kaukauna’s Aaron Schimke earned the three-peat last week as he won the Fox Firecracker 5K once again. The North Florida college runner ran a 16.18.2 in the event, while Appleton’s Bryce Verheyen had the second best time with a 16:58.3.
Carter Erdmann and Ethan Wisniewski helped the Kimberly Cougars Legion baseball team stay undefeated last week. Erdmann had three hits, while Wisniewski had two hits in the second game of a double header against Oshkosh last week.
It was a big week for Little Chute’s Charlie Vanden Burgt as the team earned two wins in Legion baseball play last week. Vanden Burgt collected seven hits in two games against Mishicot and Fond du Lac.
The Kaukauna Angels used a late comeback to earn a split against Plover last week. The Angels scored four runs in the final inning to get a 5-3 win on the road.
Despite being a multisport athlete, Jimmy Slowey has always been a baseball guy at heart. Slowey plays both football and baseball at Kimberly High School.
First year head coach Luke Gajewski and senior Charlie Vanden Burgt made history this season as they helped lead the Little Chute baseball program to their first conference championship since 1986.

The Kimberly Cougars Legion held onto a close one last week against Omro. After grabbing a 4-0 lead in the game, Noah Dorn got out of a jam as he left the tying and go-ahead runners on base to help secure a 7-6 win at home.
